Monday 10:36 am - the wireless doesn't work for me, so this'll be uploaded at a random time. and I'll be too lazy to backdate it
so I'm sitting in a medical school class right now, something about the pulmonary system. I keep hearing words like "pharmacology" "physiology" "basic science" which are words you never hear in the law school and I'm like "huh?" Not that I don't know what genetics, neuroscience, and all that means, but the thought of learning all of that makes me go "wha?" yes, I know that makes me sound all intelligent. Everybody is wearing their white doctor labcoats, so me in my green TMNT t-shirt sticks out like a sore thumb. Actually, since it's a predominantly black school, the fact that I'm asian makes me stick out a lot more.
I've spent the weekend doing various things. None of which were work, and that was F A B U L O U S. Saturday, we... had indian food. Then went to target. Then went to this place called "La Paleta" (a paleteria), which we found on accident the day before. Seriously, if anyone ever goes to nashville, they should make sure to stop by there. We played old school video games and watched a lot of "America's next top model." We had Thai food for dinner, then got lost on our way to a lesbo bar. But we eventually found it. Nice bar. Cute bar tender. Too much alcohol.
Oh, and bars close at 3 am here, so of course we were out 'til 3 am. By the time we got home and I crashed, it was... 4-ish. And I kept waking up every hour or so. I apparently fell asleep while diane was talking to me.
Sunday was a lazier day. As in, we just spent it indoors. We had pizza, and watched some tv. I talked on the phone with Liz while diane sorta napped. Watched a lot of family guy, including the movie.
The Doctor just said "board exam" but I heard "bar exam" and almost went "aahh." Granted, the boards are probably a lot more painful than the bar, but I don't want to think about any exams. It's break time dammit. And now he's giving some sort of science lesson and my mind decided it needs to stop listening to him. So medical school is a lot like law school in that I pay attention in neither.
ooh... since it's the first day of the unit, I think the prof/doc is actually going to let the class out early. That's sorta exciting.

you know, when i read this i was a little confused. i was like, tracy's not still in nashville...is she? and then i remembered i picked you up from the airport, so probably not. i think my brain is still feeling the effects of last night's journey to margaritaville.
sometimes i wish i'd gone to medical school...
